Dragonfly: The next science adventure to Saturns moon Titan
In 2026 NASA has planned a mission to Saturn’s moon Titan. It is expected to land at the surface of Titan in 2034. The DragonFly vehicle is a drone equipped with 8 propellers and it is predicted to fly very well due to the low gravity and dense atmosphere on Titan.
Dragonfly will most of the time sit on the surface of Titan and gather scientific information. Titan has showed to be an interseting object due the composite of the atmosphere, which like Earths, is a nitrogen based atmosphere but with 95% percent nitrogen compared to Earths 78%.
